Warning Signs that your vehicle is in need of service

 

 
Be Alert for These Brake Problem Warning Signs:

-  Low brake pedal
-  Squealing or grinding noises
-  Car pulls left or right when brakes applied
-  Brake pedal feels spongy
-  Parking brake sticks
-  Pulsing sensation when braking

Be alert for these warning signs of tire, alignment, shock, and strut issues:
- Thumping sound often means a tire coming apart
    or poor wheel balance

-  Sidewall bruises from scraping against a curb or
   other object may indicate tire damage

-  Squealing on curves at normal speed may mean
    poor alignment or improper inflation

Be Alert for These Exhaust Problem Warning Signs:


-  Rattling (usually caused by loose brackets, loose
   heat shields or missing bolts)

- Louder than normal exhaust noise (rust has
   corroded through pipe or muffler)


- Smell of exhaust fumes in car (may mean a hole
   in pipe, catalytic converter or muffler)

Be Alert for these automatic transmission related issues:

-  "jumping" into gear once drive is engaged

-  hesitation or inability of transmission to engage
   in ext gear as speed increases during transit

-  abnormal sound emanating from transmission

Be Alert for these warning signs indicating clogged fuel injectors/fuel rail system issues:

-  vehicle stalls, hesitates, runs rough
-  not as responsive to throttle as usual
-  poor fuel economy
-  vehicle appears to need a "tune-up"
